Public service unions have reacted angrily at firm proposals announced by the PASOK government to priviatise more of the remaining services that are still under publci ownership.
This is on top of cuts in pay and drastic reductions with pensions. The socilaist government of George Papandreou 'explained' that they had very little choice on the matter and that repaying the huge debt that Greece has would have to be the priority. Unisons have warned of more strikes and further unrest.
