UKIP Fat man on laxatives

Apparently being on laxatives coz you are a fat pig can turn you into a racist or a homophobe, nothing to do with the fact that the party you belong to subscribes to those policies? The candidate in question ( loves a big Mac and double chips in the morning!) made offensive remarks when he was on laxatives or something, what a stupid excuse for a self hating person!

Real history

Interesting as to how one discovers strategic ommisions made by 'established' historians who are selective with the info they promote. They don't deny the truth when questioned but they conveniently hide aspects of it.

For example, about 200 Norman ( French) Barons took over property and land from 4000 Saxon aristocrats in 1066. The Normans then slaughtered 500,000 Saxons and forced them into complete submission. It took 100 years to put York under control Yet historians insist England was never ruled by foreigners? Well we were and the last Norman Monarch lasted until 1603 followed by a Scottish one ( James the 1 ) followed by a brief Dutch appearance then of course the current German royals..

We need to embrace our past history and not deny it. I see nothing wrong with England becoming part of the European story?

X Factor rubbish?

The debate still goes on as to whether the X Factor format gives people a real opportunity to display their talent and allow them to progress to better things. Those who think it does will point to the success of One Direction and Leona Lewis.

On the other hand it is becoming increasingly obvious that baboons like Simon Cowel ( no idea how he made it) and L Walsh use the set up to promote their own self image. To be honest I am not too sure whether I am in favour of keeping the 'programme' or replace it with something that will genuinely help those with talent get an opportunity but in a very different way a way that removes the big headed self obsessed judges!!

Blair on MPs pay

Brain box of the year award winner ( not ) T Blair, is telling us that we need to pay MP's more? At the same time he says that career politicians are a bad thing. I agree with him with the second point but MP's are paid far too much for what they do. They are just experts in producing hot air and using key words. You only need to watch the likes of Burnham, Umuna or Balls to understand what I am saying. Full of hot air and no fucking substance.

People should not be encouraged into politics because they see it as an alternative to a career in a real profession. They should be paid in line with public sector employees. Those who know me also know that I am an expert in the Job Evaluation scheme used in the public sector and using the Single Status scheme ( deriving from the Whitley Council version ) an MP will not score enough points to be more than an P02 that means the highest pay for them should not be more that £38,000 so why is Blair and others going on about them being underpaid? Put them on Single Status grades like everyone else!!! I shall start a campaign on this!!

Tony Blair wrong again!

Tony Blair opened his mouth again to preach to us. My advice is for him to keep a low profile and shut the fuck up. Wasn't he the one who became obsessed with licking Bush's boots and got us involved with a war in Irag? He was the one who removed a dictator without taking into account what would happen after that? The result is a bigger fucking mess and instability of mega proportions in the region? How do idiots like him get away with it? How the hell could he not forsee that the removal of that nasty dictator would have led to the emergence of  the violent and blood thirsty assholes that will probably push the region to a total all out war? Who is the moron giving Blair awards all over the place??

Who fucked the Middle East up?

The situation in the middle East is dreadful. We are facing a human catastrophe thats affecting millions of inocent women and children. The bloodshed will not stop unless drastic action is taken.

The human race often finds itself in this situation and the simple explanation is linked to the fact that our system of government in the Western democracies has allowed the emergence of total idiots and morons to infiltrate and run our lives. The total mess made out of the Iraq situation and then the handling of the Lybia crisis by total idiots like William Hague is what has led us to where we are. So unless we are able to revise and review our system that allows career politicians who are only good at producing hot air and use key words things will get worst. There is not one around right now that will inspire us to get up and do anything. The press and the media ( who are part of the hot air elite ) do very little either to help, in fact they make matters worst!

Can Labour win?

Not long before the next general election. This puts me in a rather difficult position. I have been a Labour party activists since my under graduate days, but newish Labour with morons like Milliband, Bernham, Umuna and the ever dreadful and dull Balls have made me question why the fuck I am following this party. On the other hand my local MP, Steve Reed, is excellent and since I have known him before he became an MP I also know he is genuine. So I am left in the difficult position of having to vote for an excellent local MP and that will, indirectly, get the assholes like ' I love myself Umuna' and ' I am really a fat moron Balls', elected into government! What an appauling situation to be in!!

Can Labour make it?

As I said a number of times before the nature of politics in the UK means that we will probably have to have coalition governments from now on so it will depend very much as to whether Lib Dems decide to ditch Cleggy and go with the dreadful Milliband who is as inpsiring as a bag of chips left on a wet drive way in South East Orpington!! I think Milliband is the bigest disaster for the Labour party and the unions have a lot to do with his rise to power. He and his team are certified losers!!

MP's pay

The issue around the amount we pay MPs keeps coming back. I am amazed that anyone thinks we should be paying people who are simply experts in manipulation and hot air as much as they get paid now.

I was one of the most senior London job evaluation appeals officers ( public sector ) for many years with experience in the Whitley Council and Single Status schemes. I took what MP's do now and put them through the job evaluation formula and using that they would come back as Senior Officer level 1 or at best 2 that would give them a pay of around £30,000 at today's prices so God knows why they are on double that amount!!! The solution to removing career politicians out of the system is to impose the public sector job evaluation scheme on their pay. Stop over paying these people they are in it for the money!!

The Labour party

I have to confess that I have not renewed my membership of the Labour party. This is because I am appalled with those on the Labour front bench. They are inspiring as a bag of chips left on a wet drive way! That apart I feel that Yvetter Cooper is an excellent MP and could make a great leader. So I will be returning if she ever managed to get rid of the plethora of career orientated politicians that have taken over!

Tony Ben and Bob Crow

Apologies to the thousands who never read this blog I have not been posting stuff lately as I was busy with other stuff.

Tragic news this week of the two giants of socialism Bob Crow and Tony Ben who both died. They were real socialists who actually believed what they said. Bob Crow was particularly great as he will go down as one of the few genuine Trade Union leaders of our time unlike the many career politicians of the Labour party.

Condolences to the families of both heroes. They will be missed.

Regional AGM London Unison

I wasn't able to attend regional AGM today but I am wondering whether the new team lead by Glen Kelly will manage to get anywhere near defeating the team that has been 'leading' the region for the last 8 years? I very much doubt it but it will be interesting to see whether things have changed? The reds under the beds of the region is still a fear that retains its grip on London Unison politics..

Parthenon Marbles

First of all it has never been the case that Phidias who created the Parthenon Marbles wanted them to be renamed. He also never thought they would be lifted and moved to Britain.

It is a great shame that the curators of the British museum insist on not returning the marbles to a country that has given so much to western civilisation. Their argument is affected by the last drops of imperialist ethos left in a small proportion of the great British population.

There have been many campaigns to get the marbles returned from where they were stolen. Some have used the argument that what has been done to them is the same as what the nazis did with art treasurers when they occupied the major part of Europe. I don't agree with that over emotional analogy. What I have been suggesting for many years is that the British museum should reach an agreement with the museum of Athens where the marbles are leased back to the British museum for a period of 50 to 60 years. In other words what most progressive Greeks would like to see is an acknowledgement of ownership. This is 2014 and the days of imperialism are over so lets get this sorted. And I think the British Trades Union movement can have a role with hits project!

Return the Parthenon marbles or at least acknowledge their righful owners..

Fitness

Fitness is something that concerns us all and we should all strive to keep fit otherwise we might encounter problems when the revolution comes!

Many who know me ask how I manage to keep fit. The answer is that I stick to a regime of regular exercises and I eat as well as I can. There are a few tips that I can share with you all.

Never embark on a project of intensive exercise without taking into account what your body can and can not take. If you go on a crash diet or a punishing schedule of exercise routine on an on and off basis (like my friend Martin does..) then you will not get good results. Know your limits is the main rule and also know your body type.

I was fortunate enough to have chosen the right parents who gave me the correct genes. Having the right genes helps but that on its on will not do it.

You must be motivated and you should want to stay fit. If not then a diet of lard and chips will not help.

Rules:

Do not over exercise. I run for 20 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. Running helps maintain your balance and burns any bad stuff you might have eaten off.

Don't eat red meat if you can but replace the nutrients you will lose  by finding substitutes. I am not advocating that you should convert to be a vegetarian but red meat should only form 5 to 10% of your weekly food intake. Eat fish instead.

No fizzy drinks. No alcohol. Don't have too much sugar and go to the gym for a moderate amount of exercise twice a week and not more. Its a myth that going to the gym 4 to 5 times a week helps. Reduce milk consumption by 80% and don't eat too much bread.

I shall continue to occasionally post stuff that could help comrades in their pursuit of perfection. We all need to look good or better when the revolution comes! Drink a lot of water!! Make sure that 70% of your fluid intake on a daily basis consists of water!

The London Regional AGM will take place on the 25th now as the date was changed by Bob Crow.

Will be interesting to see whether Glenn Kelly who was suspended but then managed to win a tribunal claim can win the position of Regional Convenor. There is no longer a United Left but Marsha Jane and Glenn seem to have teamed up to challenge the existing status quo. We shall see..

Whatever..

What can I say..

Nick Venedi

Is UKIP all about protest?

It looks like more voters than we thought are defecting to UKIP, commentators think this is just a protest vote in between elections and although they might have a point with this the fact remains that the electorate is dissatisfied with the selection of party leaders available to chose from. It is obvious that the current leadership of all 3 major parties offers nothing other  than desperation. They are a collective of amatures who chose to go into politics because they knew they could not make it in any other profession. This is dangerous for this country and the whole world. It means that a group of idiots could make decisions on our behalf that could bring our downfall!! Vote them all out but don't go to the other extreme and elect a flash in the pants party that is just about telling some people what they want to hear!!

Underground dispute

I was appauled to hear Nick Ferrari ( or is it Lambognini) try to get personal with Bob Crow and asking irrelevant questions about his personal circumstances. I am sure that many listening to this fat interviewer would now be more supportive of Bob Crow who handled him very well. At the end of the day a democratic decision was made by RMT members who voted to go on strike for some qood reasons? The decision was made using same methods as we use to elect idiots like Boris Johnson? So no difference there.

Scottish independence

A lot is being said about whether it will be possible for a nation like Scotland to go independent and whether the practical problems in achieving this will make it hard. Whether Scotland declares independence or not is no ones business other than the Scottish people. My only take on the so called difficulties is that if Checoslovakia could do it so can Scotland?

London Regional Council will now take place on the 25th instead of the 5th February to avoid issues around using the underground system and upset Bob of the Crow. Our friends and comrades are rightly taking strike action on the 5th. Good luck!

What happened to the United Left then?

Looks like the United Left consists of the United SWP comrades who have remained and indeed seem to have retained the title invented by our glorious leader Jon of the Rogers. So what happens now and are we still going to be able to achieve total real time revolution? I hope that if or when it happens it won't be at the weekend or in the middle of a nasty snow storm..

East Enders producers

Not that many admit to watching East Benders but I occasionally do and like Lord Sugar I have given them a few weeks to see if they have improved the formula. I would say that as a whole the approach of trying to cover every PC subject going is not right. Its a bloody soap opera and those producing it do not have an educational responsibility. So trying so hard to cover every single thing going is actually back firing, it makes the 'programme' boring and those who want other subjects covered angry! When will they cover the story of those living on Easter islands and the fact that many of them suffer from ear wax? Why is the BBC discriminating?

Save the polar bears!

Hundreds of polar bears are killed each year in Canada for international commercial trade, and hundreds more are in danger from oil and gas projects in Canada. These iconic creatures are facing an alarming decline, but steps can be taken to stop unnecessary polar bear deaths.

Greater protections for these animals are needed. Sign the petition to help save the polar bear.

With your help, we can stop trophy hunting and trade in polar bear skins and parts, and protect these creatures from extinction.
Help save these iconic creatures. Tell the Canadian Prime Minister to support greater protections for polar bears!

Lambeth Unison AGM 2014

The AGM took place yesterday fewer people attended but still an impressive number turned up.

There were no contested elections and only two semi controversial motions. One on limiting time given to elected officers and the other about the number of positions any member could hold. Motion 4 was considered and was overwhelmingly defeated by Jon of the Rogers followers. Must say half of motion 4 made sense and part B would have been supported by many if it was presented separately. This part says that members can only hold 2 officer positions at any given time. I would have campaigned for this. There was a time when one individual in the branch held 7 different positions, this can never be right!

Lambeth Unison AGM 2014

It promises, as always, to be an interesting AGM. Not sure I fully follow the argument going on however about two motions that were submitted by a sub group that the progressive left in Lambeth call a stamp collecting collective? I think that's what they are saying?

Anyway I commented last week about the two motions submitted by an individual on the BC and I warned that the reaction to the content from our glorious leader, Jon of the Rogers, was disproportional. I still fail to see why anyone cares as to whether a motion that is seen by some as incompetent should concern them? It has never stopped anyone before why worry about it now? A rule change motion needs a two thirds majority but as we saw with a number of motions that were passed at the 2010 AGM which attracted the required two thirds these were ignored and never acted on? So why is the glorious leader of men and women in the branch making an issue of the new one? And why are those on the progressive left bothered?

The on line argument which is continuing between those on the progressive left and the other sub group should stop and the decision left to the members who after realising how confusing it all is will vote for or against. The decision is with them. The two motions, one calls for restricting the number of years an officer can stay in office and the other talks about dividing facility time is only there to attract attention. Both are impractical and will never be implemented so why make such a big deal about it??

In conclusion and as a Lambeth Activists I think those involved with the debate should calm down and leave the decision to the members who will vote on this later on.

Stop animal abuse

Wild animals don't belong in captivity. That's just all there is to it. And they certainly don't belong on television, being forced to do tricks for an audience's amusement at home. Unfortunately, because of the popularity of using animals in ads, many exotic animals have to spend their lives doing just that.

Take chimpanzees, for example. Because it's kind of funny to see monkeys and apes dressed up in human clothes, many advertisers use trained chimps to hawk their products.

But chimpanzees' similarity to humans doesn't just extend to their ability to wear trousers. They feel fear and loneliness just like we do -- and raising them to be used in commercials means they often don't learn the behaviors necessary to fit in with other apes.

Perhaps worse, seei ng chimps in ads can make viewers believe that taking animals from the wild -- or perhaps buying one on the black market to use as a pet -- is acceptable.

It's time for us to catch up with the 21st century and stop relying on wild animals for our entertainment. Tell the UK to update its Performing Animals Act to ban the use of exotic animals in advertising.

Jon of the Rogers and outbursts

I was amazed to witness an outburst by our great leader of men, and women, at the BC today. He was clearly upset about 2 motions submited by two branch committee members which want to amend the rules of Lambeth Unison. They have every right to do this. I don't think the motions will get two thirds majority nor will members at AGM be very interested in the content. But that does not mean the people who have submitted these motions are right wing or reactionary? I would be happy to leave the argument there but since Jon of the Rogers has also had an outburst on his blog I thought I would respond in kind. Or is he trying to get attention for himself..? I wonder..

East Enders 2014

I have been critical of the weak and mixed up story lines in the past. They are now catching up and have produced an interesting twist. The new family taking over the shitty Vic have a young son and a rebellious chav daughter. The story goes that the son is gay but isn't totally aware of it so he suddenly realises he can come out and at least for now his parents seem to be supporting him. We shall have to wait and see how the producers and writers develop this one. The last attempt which involved Sayd and Christian Vile wasn't done well. This is 2014 so lets hope the get it fucking right?

2014

What is it 2014? Was woken up around 11 thought it was the BBC wanting me to join their writing team on East Enders but it wasn't it were me mates who had already woken up. Apparently I have been in bed for a whole year and we are now in 2014! Beggar this I thought, was happy that I survived another year but still annoyed that the BBC have not offered me that contract. They need new ideas with East Enders or Weatherfield will dominate tv for another year.
