There has been a lot of speculation about whether Deidre Barlow, Rushid, Langton and nearly Baldwin (she had an affair with Mike Baldwin but never married him) is Innocent or not. I understand that even the united left is divided on the subject with those who insist that she flirted with the Nigel Havers character and the rest who think that she was led on. The decision as to who to follow will very much depend on whether the ul allow for an amendment to go onto the agenda at their forthcoming AGM.
At the end of the day it would appear that both Deidrie and Audrey Roberts were seduced. Full marks to Audrey Roberts though who is still selling up and running off to the island of Alonisos in the Aegean a beautiful little place with clear sea water and constant blue skies am sure the locals will benefit from her in depth skills and knowledge in modern English literature.
