I accept that campaigning for a better future and getting involved with other activists to achieve change is a very important part of what we do as union members. But there is no excuse for allowing ourselves to fall behind with the work needed to help and support ordinary members who need our help.
That is after all why unions were formed. There is not point creating armies of arm chair revolutionaries who spend a major part of their time fighting a class struggle in cyber space. Lets have minimum standards of service and lets ensure that we meet these.
