Another gold medal for Greece

Greece's Ekaterini Stefanidi won the Olympic pole vault on Friday and her country's first athletics gold since the 2004 Athens Games, then defended its integrity after barred Russian Yelena Isinbayeva blasted the event as sub-par without her in the field.

Well done

Great to see the Hellenic Olympic team get five medals in Rio even though they had no financial support from the government. Well done the Hellenic team

Olympics 2016

Great to see Hellenic Olympians winning 5 medals so far in Rio. Two gold one silver two bronze. A country with a population of 10 million ( one sixth of that of Britain ) has done very well

state of the world

Why is the world in such a state? Two theories on that. One is that the world isn't in any state we just have immediate access to news as and when it is happening. The second is because we are dominated by vile career politicians with very short aims. William Hague was a good example on how not to unleash a moron on the foreign office!!

Labour party

The gang of four formed the SDP as a result of leaving the labour party. They then merged with the Liberals who then created the Liberal democrats. They ended up having 8 seats in the last election! The new split and new party should be called the Gravy Train party. Those who don't like the present democratically elected leader like Chuka Umuna, would want to leave just in case they lose the current gravy train!!!
