No idea why Offwat the water regulator is allowing water companies to increase their prices by as much as 5.6% which is of course above the inflation rate.
These private companies are making big money managing resources that belong to all of us and as they make more than enough they should not be allowed to add to our burden by increasing their costs, we are, after all, in the middle of a recession. Offwat should be doing a better job.
I would like to know if any water reservoirs have been drained for redeveloment in the last (say) 5 years
