So we all got it wrong. What Teresa May wanted to say at the Tory conference was 'Breakfast means breakfast' and not, as it has been reported, 'Brexit means Brexit' which means that a new law will come in making everyone have breakfast from now on. Am all for that!

Hellenic success at 2016 Olympics
looking at and comparing the figures re gold medals there can only be one explanation. I am using Greece as an example and comparing their performance with that of Japan, Germany, Portugal and Sweden. The Greek state is dealing with a huge financial crisis. There Olympians received no financial support from the state yet they performed better than any of the powerful states I mention. G
Gold medals. Population
Greece. 3. 10 million
Japan. 12. 125 million
Germany 17. 80 million
Portugal 0. 10
Wonder how the spin doctors of the West will spin this one around? In my books the Greek success has a lot to do with that special spirit the Greeks have and will never lose!

state of the world
Why is the world in such a state? Two theories on that. One is that the world isn't in any state we just have immediate access to news as and when it is happening. The second is because we are dominated by vile career politicians with very short aims. William Hague was a good example on how not to unleash a moron on the foreign office!!

The gang of four formed the SDP as a result of leaving the labour party. They then merged with the Liberals who then created the Liberal democrats. They ended up having 8 seats in the last election! Two out of the four major British supermarkets, Morrison’s and Asda, still intend to sell eggs from caged hens without any obvious intent to change. If they were to only sell free range eggs, the demand for caged hens’ eggs would drop enormously, thereby bringing a total ban against caged hen farming closer to reach than ever before.

cruelty
Shark fin soup has long been a staple at banquets across Asia, but the common method for collecting those fins has put conservationists on a campaign to eradicate the dish.
Shark finning involves cutting off sharks’ fins and then throwing the fish back into the ocean, leaving it unable to move. The fish usually die afterwards.
A recent decision to target the supply chain is making for fresh progress in combating the practice.

Beware..
Beware of those who say they could deal with your online reputation issues. I have been stalked for years and after I asked for advice the incidence of stalking increased. I have no other choice other than to assume that those who said they could help me if I paid them ensured that the matter got worst. This is apparently a common phenomenon. I am doing some research on this currently and will then send the results to my local MP in the hope that the law can do something about this.

Defending animals
Animals can do a lot of things. They're compassionate: Dogs will stay by our side when we're sad. They express emotions: When rabbits are happy, they jump and twist. Chimpanzees will embrace each other as a sign of consolation. They experience pain, fear and love: Elephants mourn death, are visibly upset when a baby is injured, and celebrate the homecoming of their friends.
But one thing animals can't do is defend themselves from cruelty. Poaching, trophy hunting, abuse on the streets or cruel tests in research labs: many animals are helpless against the harm humans can inflict on them.
That's why animals need your help! Join Humane Society International, one of the world's most effective animal protection organisations and become an Animal Defender today. Choose which of our life saving programmes you wan

Lord Owen writes in the Sun on why he believes we should Vote Leave. He argues that leaving the EU ‘could be the spark we need to re-energise our nation’. Significantly, Lord Owen says that it is the safer choice to Vote Leave - economically, politically, militarily and socially - rather than remain in a ‘dysfunctional’ EU. He notes that European law is supreme in the UK and that the PM has ‘failed to achieve any Treaty amendment to change this’.

next edition of the TUC’s best-selling guide to health and safety at work is now ready. It is used by reps, officers, employers, professionals in the field and even enforcement officers.
This fifth edition is published at a time when the regulations that underpin workers’ protection are still under government scrutiny. It is no secret that cost-cutting and an obsession with ‘red tape’ lie behind the motives for reducing the impact of some laws, or even repealing others completely.
That is why trade union reps, officers and anyone with a practical interest in health and safety matters should have a copy of the 2016 edition of Hazards at Work. It explains the way unions organise to improve health, safety and welfare, how the law has changed in recent years and gives full details of the key legal provisions and how they are enforced.

This week, the Government fired some of its biggest guns – a Treasury report and a visit from Barack Obama – to try and blackmail the British people into voting to stay in the EU. We were expecting this to happen, but not this soon.

Greek islanders nominated for Nobel
My thoughts are with the islanders and many volunteers who are spending vast amount of effort and time helping Syrian refugees who had no choice other than to leave their war torn country.
An online campaign run by the grassroots Avaaz platform for residents of the Greek islands of the Eastern Aegean to be nominated for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for their contribution in the refugee crisis has passed the halfway mark to reaching its target of 500,000 signatures.
“The native populations of the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea (and many other external, worldwide, non-profit organizations and diaspora Greeks) have done and are doing anything possible to help the displaced Syrian refugees and make them as comfortable as possible, although they themselves have very little to offer, despite being subjected to a severe economic crisis for many years,” Avaaz says in its campaign announcement. “On remote Greek islands, grandmothers have sung terrified little babies to sleep, while teachers, pensioners and students have spent months offering food, shelter, clothing and comfort to refugees who have risked their lives to flee war and terror.”

Many will be surprised to hear that I am in favour of retaining the Monarchy. A few reforms like the abolition of the House of Lords and the dishing out of titles are needed but on the whole I much prefer the country to be represented by the Queen. Seems that there is no end to how stupid the EU ( leaders ) are. The use of the word leader is an absolute abuse of the term. The brain boxes of Brussells who are so obsessed and against migration from Syria have found a Blackadder type of solution. Let Turkey in with 80 million population to stop the flow of immigration from Syria a country with 8 million? First I don't think immigration from that war torn country is a major problem and second the ' move ' if we accept what the EU is worried about will produce the opposite affect? 80 million Turks will have an automatic right to move to EU countries and second those who seek asylum will just walk into Turkey to start with then move to the EU. So why don't the idiots in Brussell simply accept and support Syrian refugees who clearly need help?? Fucking do it idiots!

Pathetic story lines on programmes like East Enders do nothing to improve the quality of what we watch. And since I have to pay for the privilege of watching BBC I insist that the quality improves. When is Stacey, for example, going to be shown to think that she is the Ayotolah Khomeni? Brazil
Brazil is experiencing a turning point for the survival of democracy. Conservative sectors use the judiciary and big media conglomerates to persecute former president Lula and his family with a sordid campaign of lies and accusations without evidence.
The fight is between the party of exclusion, which is headed by neoliberals who want to return to government, and the party of inclusion, which for 13 years has been promoting justice and social inclusion and income distribution in our country.
In order to derail the candidacy of the labor leader, Brazilian media, led by only six families, echo misinformation and enhance massive manipulation and distortion of facts. Nonetheless, they will never erase reality: Lula was the most popular, democratic president of the Republic. He is an example of selflessness, a driving force and a collective symbol of achievement of the working class and the poor.
Because of the international relevance of this ongoing political struggle and consequences of what happens in Brazil for progressive sectors all over the world; we are proposing this international petition and request your support:
IN DEFENSE OF LULA, SYMBOL OF SOCIAL STRUGGLE AND INCLUSION
Since the beginning of resistance against civilian and military dictatorship in the late 1970s and ensuing redemocratization of Brazil, the name of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva became example of determination, a symbol of social struggle and justice for the working class and especially for the poorest.
Whether in charge of historic strikes that shook the foundations of the military regime or in dealing with harassment and abuse of its police forces, Lula has always shown discernment and serenity to move forward, propelling the best of each and all to build a new time, contributing to the founding of the Workers Party (PT) and CUT-Brasil and in the fight for democratic freedoms.
As years passed, the metal worker leader became president. His two terms in office were considered by all landmarks of economic growth, with an emphasis on employment and income distribution. With rapid social improvements, the Brazilian GDP became the seventh in the world. There was real increase of 53.6% in the minimum wage and more than 15 million new formal jobs were generated, which removed 40 million Brazilians out of extreme poverty.
During his government, more than six million domestic employees - historically marginalized second-class workers in Brazilian society - had their rights recognized to match those of other workers.
With determination, Lula has prioritized Latin American integration and the strengthening of ties with African countries. The aim was for more equitable international relations without despotism or subservience, welcoming refugees with open arms, thus strengthening self-determination of peoples, holding firm the banner of understanding and peaceful coexistence in a world at war.
We therefore denounce this sordid and irresponsible campaign led by conservative groups who use the judiciary and the media to persecute a former Brazilian president and his family. The same old dominant class which more than once supported former dictatorships and all sorts of misgovernment against sovereignty and democracy is now attempting to taint the reputation of a most relevant Brazilian so as to derail his presence in the national political arena and implement a neoliberal backlash, privatizing the State and excluding common people (“commoners”).
In confidence in the exemplary life course of Lula, we raise our voice against attempts of coups d’etat ever again.

Save Our NHS
In an open letter, more than fifty healthcare workers including doctors, nurses and paramedics have called for the UK to Vote Leave to save the NHS. They argue that the NHS has not received the necessary funding and that only if we Vote Leave can we protect the NHS.
Commenting, one of the signatories, Dr Philip Cunnington said: ‘Billions of pounds of UK taxpayers’ money is sent to Brussels every year while the NHS is starved of funding. Let's Vote Leave on June 23rd and take control of our spending, allocating it to more important things such as the NHS'.
The NHS faces a dangerous cocktail of threats, amongst them the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) - a series of trade negotiations taking part in secret between the EU and the US - and rising patient demand. For the NHS to prosper, we must leave the EU. If we Vote Leave and take back control, we can spend our money on our priorities such as the NHS.

vote leave
own interests in the EU referendum debate, former Labour Foreign Secretary Lord Owen kicked off Vote Leave’s “Save Our NHS” campaign, the EU’s own border agency highlighted how our membership makes us less safe, and Scottish Vote Leave launched with cross-party and business support.
Government waste taxpayers’ money on EU Propaganda
The Government will go to any lengths to win the referendum and try to keep us in the European Union – even if it means breaking promises they made in Parliament. Number 10’s decision this week to spend £9.3 million of YOUR money on pro-EU propaganda is in defiance of the fact that just a few months ago the Government promised that it would not send out any leaflets supporting either campaign.
These glossy 16-page mailshots are going out at a time of ‘austerity’, wasting nearly £10 million of taxpayers’ money to try and keep us trapped inside a dysfunctional EU. David Cameron has been trying to avoid answering questions all week about how he benefits from his offshore trust, but is willing to spend YOUR money on pro-EU leaflets. After we Vote Leave, we can spend this money on our priorities such as the NHS.
This misuse of public money means that the referendum will not be fought on a level playing field. The IN campaign can spend nearly two and a half times as much we are legally able to. But your response has been overwhelming. In the 24 hours after the Government announced its costly leaflet we received thousands of pounds in donations – and there's still time to donate. The spending caps begin in just a few days' time – so it’s more important than ever to make a donation to our campaign. We cannot thank you enough.

Leave EU
You may have seen this evening’s news. I’m sure you’re as staggered as I am to learn that the Government is going to spend more than £9 million of taxpayers’ money sending out a leaflet to every single home in the UK telling us we should stay in the EU.
They promised they wouldn't do this. Yet they are now proposing to spend more money promoting a 'Remain' vote than even the official Remain campaign will legally be able to.
We know this is a big decision, and that people are still making their minds up. That's why there will be two campaigns to try and convince voters what the best option is: Leave or Remain.
Each campaign will be allowed to raise and spend the same amount to make their case and convince the voters.
But the Government is losing the argument and it seems they don't want a fair fight.
They want to skew the debate, using tired old arguments that have long since been discredited.
And they want to do it with your money.
They are going to spend £9.3 million of YOUR hard-earned cash on these leaflets. We already send £350 million to Brussels every week – why should we hand over even more of our taxes to pay for propaganda?

Charlie Elfik
Remarkable how a moron like Charlie Elfik who was unfortunately a Councillor in the minority group of Tories in Lambeth ( there were just 5 of them ) is now an MP in Kent? How do idiots like that manage to slip through the net? This is of course what is wrong with our political system where total idiots convince us all to elect them to office!

EU
This week saw how the EU weakens our safety and security, the British steel industry suffer due to the control we have handed over to the EU and leading businesspeople and entrepreneurs come out in favour of Vote Leave.
EU membership threatens our national security
Justice Minister Dominic Raab delivered an important speech on Wednesday in which he highlighted how the EU makes us less safe. He stressed that if we stay in the EU, we will be unable to take the steps needed to ensure our security, such as controlling our own borders, deporting dangerous criminals and fully supporting our NATO allies.
His speech followed Vote Leave research which pointed to 50 of the most dangerous EU criminals who came to the UK and committed serious crimes. The EU’s ‘free movement’ rules mean that many criminals can travel from the EU to the UK undetected. This makes the UK less safe and less secure.

Time for change
I am still looking forward to the day when some one takes on the system and challenges the fact that having people with titles contradicts the essence of the Equalities Act. It can not be acceptable that we are told that we are all equal under the law but some are more equal indeed superior to others? And of course the problem with challenging this comes from the fact that anyone who might be interested in doing the challenge would be in line with benefiting from the system that dishes out these ' distinctions' in which case I am not holding my breath!

You know that a government has run out of ideas and a minister is looking to justify her existence when they start dishing out stupid ideas. Why the hell do they want to test 4 year olds? Leave the kids alone they should be left to play and not given stress.

Equality issues
We can not have an Equalities Act that says we are all equal then have a firm and established hierarchy with royals and those with titles imposed on us on the top. It is all non sense and it has to change. I accept that having a monarch makes things easier to manage ( avoids us having to chose voting for wankers like Blair or Branson or even Johnson ) so in that respect I can live with it, but the fantacy element that comes with having royals and the useless hangers on like Edward and Andrew is completely unnecessary and even comical. I am waiting for a clever person to make a legal challenge in the courts on the basis that having lords and the rest is illegal as it contradicts the spirit of the Equalities Act. But then again the person hearing a claim will be one of them?? Explains why the system will never be changed!! Get rid of them!!

Fitness it's all about balance
I don't agree with those who preach hard constant physical exercise on the contrary I feel that keeping a balance between doing regular but moderate exercise is the key to success especially for those over 40 so I would suggest running 4 to 5 times a week between 30 to 40 minutes a day and one hour in the gym for 3 times a week. Keep it real.

Fitness for all
Basic principles when trying to get into a routine that will ensure good results. First you have to set your goals and understand your body that way you can set realistic aims and objectives. Any medical conditions you may have that could affect any programme you embark on must be taken into account.
Basic rules though apply. Regular and moderate exercise is the way to do it over doing anything could in fact produce the reverse results. So be careful not to go wild and pace yourself.

Nick Lord Owen writes in the Sun on why he believes we should Vote Leave.

It is always hard to stick to just drinking water but water is really the source of life. Try not to drink fizzy drinks or drinks containing sugar. Pure water is the best and avoid water that has been in plastic bottles!

What to eat and when?
I recommend that 80% of your intake of daily food should consist of protein. So fish, hard boiled eggs ( no egg yolk) nuts, bananas. But I insist that although it will slow you down at least 20% of what you eat should consist of carbs. Your body needs some carbs to function so don't go to any extreme diets.
Nick Venedi

What to eat?
For perfect fitness I would go for a diet that enables you to eat 4 times a day. Your last meal must not be after 6.30 p.m. depending on what time you go to bed of course. But a good 5 hours from last meal to going to sleep is needed. No heavy meals either!

Fitness 4 all
Yes it is possible to be over 40 and look fit. The truth is there is no one formula able to help everyone achieve their goal. Different people come in all shapes, sizes and have different metabolic rates. That needs to be taken into account when devising a plan for them. As a rule though good moderate regular exercise with good nutrition is what is needed.

The hypocracy of the left
I held senior elected positions with Britains largest TU for many years and worked with many on the left. They always understood the danger of a large pro boss organisation like the EU and feared the dominance of monopolies. But then suddenly and out of the blue many of these people have decided to do a huge U turn and are now in full support of this nasty slow moving Levithan! I can not understand where the warnings they were giving me for so many years have all been thrown in the bin and how they can possibly support such an unprogressive organisation like the EU!!!

M Gove is right
Not a great fun of any Tory but Michael Gove is right. The so called agreement with the EU the one between UK and EU is not legally binding. It won't be until it is enshrined in EU law and it hasn't been yet. That means that anyone can challenge a decision by the UK to stop additional benefits to migrants something that will obviously happen the day after our stupid government tries to do it the European court will declare it illegal. Cameron will then come back crying that he couldn't do what he promised to deliver. Its all a stage managed tragedy! Vote to leave!!

Vote leave
Michael Gove has given an interview to the BBC in which he makes clear that the Prime Minister‘s deal is not legally binding. This is a hugely significant intervention. As Secretary of State for Justice, Mr Gove is in charge of the UK’s legal system. He states that the European Court of Justice is not bound by the deal because there has not been any Treaty change. Indeed, Downing Street admits that EU courts must only take the deal ‘into account’.
The Prime Minister’s reform package carries the same legal weight as an unsigned contract. EU politicians and unelected EU judges could ignore the deal and rip it up straight after the referendum. The only way to take back control is to Vote Leave.

Vote leave
Imagine if we Vote Leave… We can trade freely with the EU without accepting the supremacy of EU law.
With the details of the PM’s hollow deal now published, you can now expect to see plenty of doom-mongering coming from Downing Street and the IN campaign. They know that the Prime Minister’s deal won’t bring back any powers to the UK, so will try to scare people into voting to stay in the EU.

EU
The PM claims that the deal is ‘legally binding’ and will change the EU Treaties in a few years. False. It is impossible for the EU’s leaders to create a legally binding agreement now that is delivered in many years’ time. The only thing that is ‘legally binding’ is changes to the Treaties. This has not happened. It may never happen. It requires the agreement of all 28 countries, often after referendums. We do not even know who the leaders will be in a few years’ time - never mind what they will agree.
The European Court is in charge of exactly the same things after the deal as it was before the deal. The European Court will be able to chuck David Cameron’s deal in the bin the day after the referendum vote. As the former Director General of the Legal Service of the EU Council said: ‘There is no possibility to make a promise that would be legally binding to change the treaty later’. This means that the Prime Minister might not even get the insignificant change he is boasting about.

EU The failed project
The EU was created to promote the interests of the good people of Europe but it has ended up becoming a super beast that has gone out of control.
The EU was instrumental, through the Germans, in creating the vast instability in the 80s that saw the premature recognition of Croatia and the collapse of the Yugoslavia which led to the atrocities in the Balkans. The Germans were incapable of sorting the mess they created out so they drafted the US and Britain in to sort the problem out. The EU dealt with the Euro finance crisis by imposing extreme measures on the peoples of Greece, Portugal and Spain their attitude was and still is nasty. They are also totally incapable of resolving the current refugee crisis out with little fascist states like Hungary treating refugees like animals.
Vote to leave the EU its the only way to force that nasty Levithan to reform itself! Get Britain out!!

EU Referendum, the fear merchants are out to get you!
Cameron on the A Marr show goes on about being stronger by staying within the fucked up EU but the reality is that the evidence shows that this Levithan can never make a quick decision. Dont listen to the fear merchants of the EU
So David Cameron has come back after a carefully rehearsed show where the other states were told to pretend to hold out then give in to us having the right to request the minor changes we want? We had leading and great leaders of the world like the president of Lithuania and the PM of the Check republic telling us how hard it all was? What have we been reduced to! These funny little states depend on us much more than we on them yet they are calling the shots?
Unfortunately the fear merchants will tell us that we will collapse without Donald Duck Task not being our President and that if we leave it will all be a disaster! What total rubbish!
Vote to leave this is a once in a life time opportunity to start from the beginning. The EU needs to be brought down then we restructure it!

I strongly advise against too many visits to the gym. Eat 4 small meals a day but never after 6 if you can help it!

Vote leave
Let's take back control. Our money, our priorities. Safety first.
This is it. The Prime Minister is in Brussels today meeting EU leaders to try to persuade them to agree to his trivial demands. He is likely to emerge in the small hours of tomorrow morning claiming a hard-fought victory – probably with a ‘new’ surprise concession – and announce that the Government will campaign for the UK to stay in the EU.
The British people will see through this charade. David Cameron has dropped nine out of ten things he wanted to change in our relationship with the EU. His deal will not deliver the ‘fundamental change’ he used to talk about, and will do nothing to take back control of our borders, our economy and our democracy. The European Court will be in charge of exactly the same things at the end of this negotiation as it is now - and the European Court will be able to throw in the bin the so-called 'concessions' like the 'emergency brake' after we've voted. Click here for our detailed analysis of the renegotiation.
This is a crucial 48 hours in the referendum campaign. We need YOUR help. Here are three things
