Elections for the house of representatives takes place this weekend in the Republic of Cyprus with the same old parties (plus a few new ones) saying the same old thing.
Attended a meeting last night where the 3 major parties AKEL, DYSI and DIKO were having a debate and I wondered whether anything they said was any different from what they have been saying for the last 40 years. The answer to that is unfortunately no. They are all blaming each other for not making progress with resolving the problem associated with the occupation of part of the Republics territory and are offering no real alternatives or solutions.
