I met and worked with Jon Rogers around 1990. We were not close at the start as we had a different approach to Lambpolitic, he was the Chair of Lambeth NALGO and I was the Convenor for the centre. I begun to respect his dedication after we had a few 'political confrontations and we became close friends and associate we ended up becoming joint Branch Secretaries for 11 years. These were difficult and challenging times for the both of us but I think we both worked close together and achieved as much as we could. He is more of a brother to me. Our journey together was a long one. We understood each other more than many others could have done.
