European integration

There is a great danger that member states of the EU would see the current financial crisis as a reason to abandon the European project and whilst I can see that the temptation to pull out is there destroying the chance for total integration will be a major set back. European federation and true integration is the only hope we have for fewer conflicts and more prosperity for all the people of the continent.

So whilst it is inevitable that there will be some major problems on the way to total unity it will be a mistake of historical proportions to pull out. American hegemony is the only thing that will benefit if countries opt out. This must not happen and we must persevere!
