David Owen against the EU

Lord Owen writes in the Sun on why he believes we should Vote Leave. He argues that leaving the EU ‘could be the spark we need to re-energise our nation’. Significantly, Lord Owen says that it is the safer choice to Vote Leave - economically, politically, militarily and socially - rather than remain in a ‘dysfunctional’ EU. He notes that European law is supreme in the UK and that the PM has ‘failed to achieve any Treaty amendment to change this’.

The hypocracy of the left

I held senior elected positions with Britains largest TU for many years and worked with many on the left. They always understood the danger of a large pro boss organisation like the EU and feared the dominance of monopolies. But then suddenly and out of the blue many of these people have decided to do a huge U turn and are now in full support of this nasty slow moving Levithan! I can not understand where the warnings they were giving me for so many years have all been thrown in the bin and how they can possibly support such an unprogressive organisation like the EU!!!

M Gove is right

Not a great fun of any Tory but Michael Gove is right. The so called agreement with the EU the one between UK and EU is not legally binding. It won't be until it is enshrined in EU law and it hasn't been yet. That means that anyone can challenge a decision by the UK to stop additional benefits to migrants something that will obviously happen the day after our stupid government tries to do it the European court will declare it illegal. Cameron will then come back crying that he couldn't do what he promised to deliver. Its all a stage managed tragedy! Vote to leave!!

Vote leave

Michael Gove has given an interview to the BBC in which he makes clear that the Prime Minister‘s deal is not legally binding. This is a hugely significant intervention. As Secretary of State for Justice, Mr Gove is in charge of the UK’s legal system. He states that the European Court of Justice is not bound by the deal because there has not been any Treaty change. Indeed, Downing Street admits that EU courts must only take the deal ‘into account’.
The Prime Minister’s reform package carries the same legal weight as an unsigned contract. EU politicians and unelected EU judges could ignore the deal and rip it up straight after the referendum. The only way to take back control is to Vote Leave.

Vote leave

Imagine if we Vote Leave… We can trade freely with the EU without accepting the supremacy of EU law.
With the details of the PM’s hollow deal now published, you can now expect to see plenty of doom-mongering coming from Downing Street and the IN campaign. They know that the Prime Minister’s deal won’t bring back any powers to the UK, so will try to scare people into voting to stay in the EU.

EU

The PM claims that the deal is ‘legally binding’ and will change the EU Treaties in a few years. False. It is impossible for the EU’s leaders to create a legally binding agreement now that is delivered in many years’ time. The only thing that is ‘legally binding’ is changes to the Treaties. This has not happened. It may never happen. It requires the agreement of all 28 countries, often after referendums. We do not even know who the leaders will be in a few years’ time - never mind what they will agree.
The European Court is in charge of exactly the same things after the deal as it was before the deal. The European Court will be able to chuck David Cameron’s deal in the bin the day after the referendum vote. As the former Director General of the Legal Service of the EU Council said: ‘There is no possibility to make a promise that would be legally binding to change the treaty later’. This means that the Prime Minister might not even get the insignificant change he is boasting about.

Cameron dont sound like he likes the EU??

Nick venedi

EU The failed project

The EU was created to promote the interests of the good people of Europe but it has ended up becoming a super beast that has gone out of control.

The EU was instrumental, through the Germans, in creating the vast instability in the 80s that saw the premature recognition of Croatia and the collapse of the Yugoslavia which led to the atrocities in the Balkans. The Germans were incapable of sorting the mess they created out so they drafted the US and Britain in to sort the problem out. The EU dealt with the Euro finance crisis by imposing extreme measures on the peoples of Greece, Portugal and Spain their attitude was and still is nasty. They are also totally incapable of resolving the current refugee crisis out with little fascist states like Hungary treating refugees like animals.

Vote to leave the EU its the only way to force that nasty Levithan to reform itself! Get Britain out!!

EU Referendum, the fear merchants are out to get you!

Cameron on the A Marr show goes on about being stronger by staying within the fucked up EU but the reality is that the evidence shows that this Levithan can never make a quick decision. They have no defence policy and they continue to allow an applicant state, Turkey, to continue with accessions talks whilst occupying EU territory?? Can they answer that paradox?? Totally fucked up.

VOTE TO LEAVE!

Dont listen to the fear merchants of the EU

So David Cameron has come back after a carefully rehearsed show where the other states were told to pretend to hold out then give in to us having the right to request the minor changes we want? We had leading and great leaders of the world like the president of Lithuania and the PM of the Check republic telling us how hard it all was? What have we been reduced to! These funny little states depend on us much more than we on them yet they are calling the shots?

Unfortunately the fear merchants will tell us that we will collapse without Donald Duck Task not being our President and that if we leave it will all be a disaster! What total rubbish!

Vote to leave this is a once in a life time opportunity to start from the beginning. The EU needs to be brought down then we restructure it!

Vote NO!

fitness

my fitness regime allows those over 40 to start a moderate program of exercises which is combined with intelligent eating methods it's all about keeping a good balance between not overdoing the exercise routine and eating the right stuff at the right time. I strongly advise against too many visits to the gym. Eat 4 small meals a day but never after 6 if you can help it!

Vote leave

Let's take back control. Our money, our priorities. Safety first.
This is it. The Prime Minister is in Brussels today meeting EU leaders to try to persuade them to agree to his trivial demands. He is likely to emerge in the small hours of tomorrow morning claiming a hard-fought victory – probably with a ‘new’ surprise concession – and announce that the Government will campaign for the UK to stay in the EU.
The British people will see through this charade. David Cameron has dropped nine out of ten things he wanted to change in our relationship with the EU. His deal will not deliver the ‘fundamental change’ he used to talk about, and will do nothing to take back control of our borders, our economy and our democracy. The European Court will be in charge of exactly the same things at the end of this negotiation as it is now - and the European Court will be able to throw in the bin the so-called 'concessions' like the 'emergency brake' after we've voted. Click here for our detailed analysis of the renegotiation.
This is a crucial 48 hours in the referendum campaign. We need YOUR help. Here are three things

The vote on the EU

I hope that the good people of Britain will not be taken in by the spread of fear messages by the pro EU spin doctors. Its all a con! We are being told that we have negotiated a good deal when we have not actually asked the right questions or made the right demands. The only factor that might go against those of us who do not want to stay in the EU is the one coming from UKIP many sceptical voters will be scared off by the anti everything Nigel Farage who is simply campaigning to promote his own image and doesn't care. He is full of shit and should resign.

Vote to leave the EU!

Fitness for over 50's

Many men think it is impossible to be fit and look fit over 40 never mind over 50 and some believe that acquiring that big belly is just natural. This is totally untrue! I am an example of someone who is soon to be 50. I follow a moderate regime of exercises and eat the right stuff 80% of the time. There are times when I have the odd fizzy drink and stuff with lots of sugar but following my system produces the results I want. This is a picture of me taken last week. I am an example of what you get achieve with some effort and dedication!

Animals in zoos

A tiger has escaped from one of Indias zoos. I am more concerned about the welfare of caged animals than anything else. Why don't we stop abusing the power we have over the animal kingdom and start looking after them? Our total arrogance will finish us off one day!

Poll on EU vote

I have about 200 real friends on face book and I have regular contact with about 30 of them who I see often. Based on what these 30 people say and the friends they have it would look like the majority of them would vote to stay in but then the majority of them are between 30 to 50 so I think this age group favors Europe.

On the other hand the parents of friends I have and their friends, all over 65 are saying the direct opposite and based on that I would say that there is a strong age bias when it comes to the EU with older people being more apprehensive and not wanting change. My nephews mates, all between 17 to 22 are all in favour of the Union so can I deduct any conclusions from this super scientific study? Yes I can. I am afraid that we will end up staying within the EU because the world is changing and the majority of those of us under 50 understand that ( excluding me )

DVLA most incopetent department ever!

I had it with government department incompetence. Many have had problems with areas of government where everything you want to do has to be done via automated systems. The DVLA gets first price for total incompetence though.

Moved into a newly build flat 2 months ago and been trying to change the details  on my drivers licence and other related things. But of course the DVLA do not recognise the post code this is even though the royal mail system shows it up when you do a search?? I have written to the machines at DVLA but they have of course replied by sending me automated replies saying the computer says no. If they bloody bother to look for the post code by doing a search they will discover that myself and 24 other flats have existed since bloody December? How incompetent can you bloody get??

Simon Reeve on Greece

A hugely disappointing attempt to make a documentary programme of modern Greece by Simon Reeve who has, in the past, produced some good work.

The programme is obsessed with focusing on every negative aspect of the current situation in Greece. A country bigger is size than England ( geographically ) has more to showcase than the small little areas Simon concentrates on. It will be like making a documentary of modern England and spending most of your camera time on Camberwell or Peckham. Yes there are problems but the Greeks are dealing with them and the country has much more to offer and be proud of. And at least they don't come up with disgraceful ideas like the bedroom tax punishing those in greater need?

The other thing that will annoy most who are familiar with Greece is the simplistic analysis he used to explain the traditional gun culture in Crete. He is obsessed with showing how the native population there dislike the  Germans? That is absolutely pathetic and it does not explain why guns have been that important since 1910 ( Balkan wars ) His entire effort is unfortunately simplistic and his delivery very poor. The relatives I have living on the island of Crete would some times talk about the perceived threat from Turkey but non of them every mention the Germans or associate them with a problem? Perhaps Simon is anti German and he is trying to find a way to have a go at them? Not very good journalism!

In conclusion I would give the programme 2 out of 10 ( the sea looked very blue ) and would say Joanna Lumleys Greek Odyssey documentary in 2009 is far more realistic and superior. He should concentrate on making programmes on how strong the wind can be in Streatham to be honest!

The EU vote deception

If an individual was responsible for managing a programme with the sole aim of deceiving vast number of people he or she would be facing criminal charges. Yet the pro EU vote 'campaigners' have employed every trick in the book to deceive the voters of this country.

It now looks obvious that those who want to serve the interest of Brussells will win the argument because they have more resources at their disposal and they will therefore be able to use major PR deception tricks to make people think that they will be ruined if we were to leave the EU levathan. This is of course not true but unfortunately those with more money and access to media opportunities will at the end terrify people into submission. So we are months away from a United States of Europe.
