Not that many admit to watching East Benders but I occasionally do and like Lord Sugar I have given them a few weeks to see if they have improved the formula. I would say that as a whole the approach of trying to cover every PC subject going is not right. Its a bloody soap opera and those producing it do not have an educational responsibility. So trying so hard to cover every single thing going is actually back firing, it makes the 'programme' boring and those who want other subjects covered angry! When will they cover the story of those living on Easter islands and the fact that many of them suffer from ear wax? Why is the BBC discriminating?

Save the polar bears!
Hundreds of polar bears are killed each year in Canada for international commercial trade, and hundreds more are in danger from oil and gas projects in Canada. These iconic creatures are facing an alarming decline, but steps can be taken to stop unnecessary polar bear deaths.
Greater protections for these animals are needed. Sign the petition to help save the polar bear.
With your help, we can stop trophy hunting and trade in polar bear skins and parts, and protect these creatures from extinction.
Help save these iconic creatures. Tell the Canadian Prime Minister to support greater protections for polar bears!

Lambeth Unison AGM 2014
The AGM of 2014 went well with many members attending. Lambeth Unison may have some problems with internal divisions but in the whole it can be a successful fighting fit organisation.

Lambeth Unison AGM 2014
The AGM took place yesterday fewer people attended but still an impressive number turned up.
There were no contested elections and only two semi controversial motions. One on limiting time given to elected officers and the other about the number of positions any member could hold. Motion 4 was considered and was overwhelmingly defeated by Jon of the Rogers followers. Must say half of motion 4 made sense and part B would have been supported by many if it was presented separately. This part says that members can only hold 2 officer positions at any given time. I would have campaigned for this. There was a time when one individual in the branch held 7 different positions, this can never be right!

Lambeth Unison AGM 2014
It promises, as always, to be an interesting AGM. Not sure I fully follow the argument going on however about two motions that were submitted by a sub group that the progressive left in Lambeth call a stamp collecting collective? I think that's what they are saying?
Anyway I commented last week about the two motions submitted by an individual on the BC and I warned that the reaction to the content from our glorious leader, Jon of the Rogers, was disproportional. I still fail to see why anyone cares as to whether a motion that is seen by some as incompetent should concern them? It has never stopped anyone before why worry about it now? A rule change motion needs a two thirds majority but as we saw with a number of motions that were passed at the 2010 AGM which attracted the required two thirds these were ignored and never acted on? So why is the glorious leader of men and women in the branch making an issue of the new one? And why are those on the progressive left bothered?
The on line argument which is continuing between those on the progressive left and the other sub group should stop and the decision left to the members who after realising how confusing it all is will vote for or against. The decision is with them. The two motions, one calls for restricting the number of years an officer can stay in office and the other talks about dividing facility time is only there to attract attention. Both are impractical and will never be implemented so why make such a big deal about it??
In conclusion and as a Lambeth Activists I think those involved with the debate should calm down and leave the decision to the members who will vote on this later on.

Stop animal abuse
Wild animals don't belong in captivity. That's just all there is to it. And they certainly don't belong on television, being forced to do tricks for an audience's amusement at home. Unfortunately, because of the popularity of using animals in ads, many exotic animals have to spend their lives doing just that.
Take chimpanzees, for example. Because it's kind of funny to see monkeys and apes dressed up in human clothes, many advertisers use trained chimps to hawk their products.
But chimpanzees' similarity to humans doesn't just extend to their ability to wear trousers. They feel fear and loneliness just like we do -- and raising them to be used in commercials means they often don't learn the behaviors necessary to fit in with other apes.
Perhaps worse, seei ng chimps in ads can make viewers believe that taking animals from the wild -- or perhaps buying one on the black market to use as a pet -- is acceptable.
It's time for us to catch up with the 21st century and stop relying on wild animals for our entertainment. Tell the UK to update its Performing Animals Act to ban the use of exotic animals in advertising.

Jon of the Rogers and outbursts
I was amazed to witness an outburst by our great leader of men, and women, at the BC today. He was clearly upset about 2 motions submited by two branch committee members which want to amend the rules of Lambeth Unison. They have every right to do this. I don't think the motions will get two thirds majority nor will members at AGM be very interested in the content. But that does not mean the people who have submitted these motions are right wing or reactionary? I would be happy to leave the argument there but since Jon of the Rogers has also had an outburst on his blog I thought I would respond in kind. Or is he trying to get attention for himself..? I wonder..

Costas Simitis
Ex PM of Greece and ex vice President of the ECB has been warning that Greece could exit the Euro. Why the fuck is he warning? Why didn't he have the brains not to create the problem Greece has in the first place? Total wanker. Are these idiots going to be taken to court? No they won't the poor people of the country have to pay for his mistakes and that of some others. He will be happy on his small island in the Aegean when the rest of the population are told to lose everything they have! Idiot!

Big brother Ch 5 2014
This is what I have a problem with when watching rubbish ( occasionally ) like big celebrity brother. The first thing I and others have an issue with is some of the people on it have never been seen or heard of before. The second is the woman who argued with the idiotic guy Dappy ( is that his name? )has only been on ( I think am right) the apprentice so in what way is she a celebrity? Saying all of that why the hell do I want to watch some Greek guy who thinks he looks like a gangster argue in a very politically incorrect way with some wannabe who no one has heard of before? Well why am I watching it? Well I don't that often I am just get bored...

The Church of England
I don't disagree with what the Church of England has decided to do in terms of baptism in fact what they do and how they conduct themselves is no business to many others. What I would suggest though is that we could now have online mass delivered ( with a small charge) and confessions should be done via a secure site. Lets move on!

East Enders 2014
I have been critical of the weak and mixed up story lines in the past. They are now catching up and have produced an interesting twist. The new family taking over the shitty Vic have a young son and a rebellious chav daughter. The story goes that the son is gay but isn't totally aware of it so he suddenly realises he can come out and at least for now his parents seem to be supporting him. We shall have to wait and see how the producers and writers develop this one. The last attempt which involved Sayd and Christian Vile wasn't done well. This is 2014 so lets hope the get it fucking right?

2014
What is it 2014? Was woken up around 11 thought it was the BBC wanting me to join their writing team on East Enders but it wasn't it were me mates who had already woken up. Apparently I have been in bed for a whole year and we are now in 2014! Beggar this I thought, was happy that I survived another year but still annoyed that the BBC have not offered me that contract. They need new ideas with East Enders or Weatherfield will dominate tv for another year.
